In a small coastal village in Brazil, sea turtles return every season to lay their eggs on the same beaches where fishermen cast their nets by day.
For over a decade, the people of this village have quietly become guardians: patrolling the sand at night, moving vulnerable nests to safety, and teaching the next generation why these ancient creatures matter.
In the Shadows is an intimate portrait of a community bound by quiet devotion — where fishermen, children, and elders share the same stretch of sand with sea turtles that have returned to these shores for generations, ensuring their ancient cycle continues.

Em uma pequena vila costeira do Brasil, tartarugas marinhas retornam a cada temporada, guiadas pelo instinto, para depositar seus ovos nas mesmas praias onde, à luz do dia, os pescadores lançam suas redes ao mar.  
Há mais de uma década, o povo desta vila assumiu um papel silencioso e sagrado: vigiar as areias sob as estrelas, proteger ninhos ameaçados e inspirar as novas gerações a defenderem essas criaturas ancestrais.  

“In the Shadows” é um retrato íntimo e sensível de uma comunidade unida pela devoção ao mar — onde pescadores, crianças e anciãos compartilham o mesmo pedaço de areia com tartarugas que retornam a essas margens há séculos, mantendo vivo o ciclo eterno da vida.
